Visit

Lets visit up Hampstead way,

playing house price bingo

and ogling shop windows.

Giggling at half-heard poshisms

as Samantha ‘forgets the quinces’.

But we’re here for friends,

humans lost amongst statues,

a riot of life in a sea of second-living rooms,

Agas and art for investments sake.

Films

I’ve seen a thousands lives

from birth to death.

Rewound and unwound,

poured from frame to credits,

yet in my dark cocoon,

I seem to have forgotten to live.

Window Seat

What if i stepped out?

Just a left then a right,

feet planted on some cotton candy cloud.

Running the heavens like some sleep-deprived helios.

Then again, what if I didn’t?

I’m in the aisle after all.

And planes,

much like people,

take gross exception to involuntary egress.

GP

I’m here for blood,

Dracula or the Dr sir?

Whoever’s coffin is open,

Go right in,

I’ll take a left.

I hear you’re unwell?

If you could see to me first.

Don’t fancy an icebreaker?

A graveside is seldom social.

Well pop your skeleton out and sit over there,

Thanks, I think I’ll slump where I please.

Suit yourself.
