Goodbye

They’re on the move.

Suitcase packed,

passport rechecked,

horizon waiting,

smiling a lopsided goodbye.


Hugs in a crowded doorway,

promises to write,

taxis waved at,

then gone.

...

But be back soon.

As if a river
