Shafts of Sunlight

Sit in the sun's gaze,

glow in a ruler of gold,

let it melt away your darkness,

the day improves.

Getting Through

You made it,

you finished it,

win, draw, or loss,

you're through,

breath and release.

A Desk Dog

I have a desk dog,

he sits in quiet contemplation of me,

eyes reflecting nothing but sunlight.

Basket bound by choice,

hungry by divine design.

He may not be perfect,

but my desk dog is mine.

Therapy

Play the bongos of my soul,

see the discordant melody.
